Formerly a member of Segal & Feinberg, a litigation firm that concentrated on civil litigation and white collar criminal cases in the Boston, Massachusetts area, Mr. Lopez founded his own firm in 1997. He holds the highest rating awarded to attorneys by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory -- an “AV” rating – and is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Pre-Eminent Lawyers for civil trial practice, criminal trial practice, and white collar crime. Mr. Lopez is also one of only 90 attorneys who are “Criminal Justice Act Attorneys” in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Mr. Lopez began his career as an assistant district attorney in Bristol County. While a prosecutor, he tried numerous jury trials to verdict. He is a graduate of Boston College and Boston College Law School. Mr. Lopez is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
